Arizona Walk to Emmaus for the Development of Christian Leaders By now, most of you have heard of the wonderful opportunity to deepen your spiritual life that is known as the Walk to Emmaus. You may even know that this is an ecumenical venture sponsored by The Upper Room. This walk is a spiritual life retreat of the highest quality. It is superbly conceived and staffed. Each walk will begin on Thursday evening at 7:00 PM. Candidates will stay in dormitories on a church campus. The walk will conclude at 8:00 PM on Sunday. The time will be given to inspiration, instruction, sacrament, sharing in small groups, festive events, and delicious meals. There are many special and very happy surprises for each person. Only 48 persons can be accommodated at the retreat. Both lay and clergy are invited. The applicant must be a baptized Christian, and husbands are encouraged to attend the retreat preceding the one attended by their wives. Single persons are also encouraged to attend. Applications are available from Church of the Master, as well as the Walk to Emmaus office: Arizona Walk to EmmausThe cost is $95.00 for the weekend. A $20 deposit will be paid by the pilgrim's sponsor, leaving a $75 balance. However, please do not let cost keep you from applying. There are scholarships available for those who need them.
