Seniors and Adults

This ministry team provides Christian care, support, spiritual, and social activities for both our Adult & “Seasoned” seniors.

Education: On-going Christian Education in the form of Men’s & Women’s Bible Studies, Sunday & Wednesday night Bible studies/discussions, Adult Vacation Bible School, and Emmaus small groups.

Off-Site Ministries: Providing worship services to local care facilities

Social: Soul Café fellowship every Sunday; bus trips to local points of interest; “Pairs & Spares” - evening group dinners to local restaurants;“Elaine’s Friends” – luncheon support group for widows & widowers

Mission Activities: C.A.N. – food pantry to the local community; Master’s Hands – sewing group that provides layettes to new born babies and lap robes and socks to nursing homes; World Vision – sponsorship of children in Gewata, Ethiopia; Tutoring – supporting a local elementary school with tutoring; Refuge Resettlement – support to new immigrants; Habitat for Humanity – building homes for those in need; “Back-to-School Supplies” & Angel Tree - gifts for local students; “The Spring” – providing fellowship meals and support to the university community; "Trendsetters” – financial support to civic-minded after-school group.
