Grace and Peace in the name of Christ!

My name is Jim Uhley and I am the Interim Pastor at Church of the Master. Following the long tenure of my friend, Pastor Malcolm Davis, I have been called to Church of the Master to be the pastor as the church prepares to search, and then searches for a new, more permanent pastor. This church is a place where we are seeking to know and follow Christ. We have faith in his love and healing power. We want to become better disciples and to love each other and the world more. If you are looking for a church home, a community in which to worship, to learn and grow, Church of the Master is a great place.

I’ve served 5 churches as youth director and then Associate Pastor in the southern California area. I’ve served two churches as pastor in the midwest, one in Michigan and one in Illinois. For over eight years I was pastor of Horizon Presbyterian Church in Phoenix and then for almost two years I was in Cedar City, Utah, at a church there.

I graduated from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena with my M. Div., and hold a D. Min. from McCormick Seminary in Chicago.

I’m married to Linda and have two sons, David, 19, and Matthew, 22.

This picture is of me with a 7 year-old boy in Honduras, Ronald, who looks about four due to under-nourishment in his early years.     I have a love for the people of Mexico and Honduras where I have gone on short term missions for the last ten years with volunteers from my congregations.
